Pennyshaker is a five piece funk/rock band based out of Richmond, VA. The members of Pennyshaker come from diverse musical backgrounds to form one cohesive sound. Collectively, the members of Pennyshaker have performed well over one thousand gigs.

Recent accomplishments include finalist honors in the R&B category of the 2003 John Lennon Songwriting Contest for the song 'All I Want'. The prize was $1000.
